A modern contextual approach to the historic barns of rural Wisconsin, the simple forms and simple materials of this home work with the sloping landscape. Working with the existing grade provided an opportunity to be tucked into the woods and nestle itself into the earth. The proximity of the woods as the house pulls away from the landscape gives an elevated feeling of being encompassed by the trees.
